These levels vary in designs and range from a Christmas style levels, Halloween themed areas and various fantasy battlegrounds. As you progress through the levels, each level has you facing off against different enemies who all act the same. Aside from having this set goal you also have a star rating out of 5 which takes into consideration how many muffins you’ve collected as there’s no limit on how many you can collect, although you only have one life.Īlthough the game isn’t greatly impressive graphically, the colours all stand out very well on the PC screen. To begin with you are a knight, an archer or a mage and each character has their own unique traits.Īt the beginning of each level you are set a number of muffins you have to collect in order to progress to the next stage. You begin the game playing as a knight who can fire arrows, but as you gather muffins, each muffin changes your character into a different role. Muffin Knight sees you playing as a small child who manages to scatter an old lady’s muffins around a vast world and it’s up to you to retrieve what muffins you can. I’m glad that this turns out not to be the case with Muffin Knight and the game looks and plays very well on PC. After making its name on mobile and tablet devices, the game has now made its way onto Steam.įrom first impressions, Muffin Knight looks like a game which you would normally find being promoted on Facebook which sees you receiving numerous unwanted invites. This is certainly the case with a game I have been playing recently called Muffin Knight which is the new release from Angry Mob Games. If the first trailer doesn’t impress you or a game doesn’t start the way you want it to, your experience can often be soured before it’s even begun. First impressions are often made or break for any game, no matter if it’s indie or AAA.

But for crazy large numbers of mp3s that are really messed up in unpredictable ways. Here's hoping Leopard takes a step forward and offers better metadata support for all files in the finder.Įvery few months or so, I check various sources like, and to look for something that the mac has been sorely lacking for years.Ī decent id3 tagger for mp3 files. I'm also surprised to see that despite the fact that there are so many finder replacement programs out there, that none of them (that I could find) supported showing and sorting files by ID3 info in their main windows. Why can't the Mac have this? It would make editing your ID3 tags much easier, since you could easily select just the files that need to be updated without opening them in iTunes. On the Mac you have to choose "Get Info" and start to reveal panels before you see that the Mac supports metadata too, it just can't show it in the main finder windows. Right now, if you're sitting at a PC with a relatively recent version of windows (lucky you)- you can choose to see artist, album info (and more) right in your file lists. Macworld is coming up and on January 9th, Steve will probably give us another peek at the progress on Leopard and I'm hoping that we'll see finder viewing (and sorting) support for ID3 metadata. No, I'm not dabbling in blog fiction, I'm trying to type while keeping my fingers crossed. Sounds like a bad sci-fi short story, huh. Maybe this happened twice in a row out of luck, but it's worth a try. I left it unplugged for a day or two and voila! It started recharging after I plugged it in and held down the home and sleep keys for ten seconds. So instead of plugging it in to recharge. What if there wasn't enough power to start up the unit, but too much power to have the ipod go into it's special recharging mode. He mentioned that the ipod touch will go into a special mode when the battery is completely drained, so that the unit can be recharged. I was hanging out with a computer wiz friend of mine, discussing my problem. Again, I'd try every key combination I could track down online. Again, I'd leave it plugged in, hoping it would recharge. Just before I left, I decided to try plugging it in one more time - this time it started recharging! I left the ipod touch unplugged for a couple days and then brought it to work so I could take it down to Tekserve and get a new battery. Eventually, I decided to get a new battery. But then I'd try all those techniques again and they still wouldn't work. I would plug the thing in and it would start to feel a little warm. Once I figured out that it was dead, I'd try the various key combinations to wake it up - holding down the home button and the sleep button at the same time for ten seconds - holding down the home and sleep buttons for ten seconds and then holding down the home button for a minute - holding down the home button and plugging in the usb cable, none of them worked. Leave it alone! I've had problems with my ipod touch battery draining - especially if I leave wifi on. Here's a quick tip for those with a ipod touch that won't recharge or turn on. |
